Red Orange of Sicily Jam

The Sicilian red oranges are among the most popular and original Sicilian products. The oranges of first quality used in our jams grow surrounded by the natural ventilation and mild temperatures of Sicily.
The jam is produced according to an ancient recipe, using the whole fruit, in order to maintain a genuine taste with low sugar content. In addition, no stabilizers or thickeners are used.
The jams obtained from raw materials of our land are prepared with a completely handmade production process, without addition of preservatives and dyes, maintaining all the original organoleptic quality that Sicily can offer us. It’s an ideal product for breakfast, to be spread on bread for a delicious moment of the day. Also great paired with cheeses and butter.

Lemons of Sicily jam

Thanks to the special properties of the climatic area, also characterized by the marked temperature range, the Sicilian lemon preserves a remarkable fragrance and aromatic note.
Grown without synthetic chemicals, it’s collected manually at optimum ripeness. The four annual blooms allows to choose the most suitable fruits.

The mandarin, like all citrus fruits, prefers warm temperate climates, the ideal is the Mediterranean basin.

Sicilian blacks Mulberries jam

The black or brown mulberry is a deciduous tree belonging to the family of Moracee, along with other mulberry trees. From the nutritional point of view the result is definitely better using the black mulberry, which for its sweet and pleasant taste could be safely eaten raw once they reach ripeness, that is when they take a dark purple, almost black color.
In addition to feeding, the black mulberry was exploited also for certain medicinal properties, as the ripe fruits, which contain a small quantity of pectins, seem to have purgative properties.
The fruit of this tree is used as a dessert fruit, and as a component of sweets and and ice drinks.

Sicilian prickly pears jam

The widespread distribution in Sicily, the historic and extensive use made of it in Sicilian cuisine led the prickly pear generic (Opuntia ficus-indica) to be included in the list of traditional Italian food products (PAT) of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Forestry (Mipaaf) as typical Sicilian product, as well as in some crops also the DOP. The prickly pear used to make this jam and it’s a fruit that arises spontaneously and it comes from the coastal areas and hill overlooking the Strait of Messina where it expresses its best qualities and organoleptic properties.
